Straight edge - Straight edge, also known as sXe, is a lifestyle and (counter cultural) subculture, closely associated with punk or hardcore punk music existing worldwide, but most notably in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom and Australia. It advocates abstinence in relation to tobacco, alcohol and recreational drug use (especially psychoactive and stimulant drug use), and for some people in relation to promiscuous sexual behavior.
Youth of Today - Youth of Today was a seminal American hardcore punk band, often credited for reviving the straight edge scene in the mid to late 1980s. They formed in Connecticut in 1985, though they made their mark after moving to New York.
